The Elaphite Islands is a small archipelago consisting of 13 islands stretching northwest of Dubrovnik.
The islands are covered with characteristic Mediterranean evergreen vegetation and attract large numbers of tourists during the summer tourist season due to their beaches and pristine scenery.
The name comes from the Ancient Greek word for deer, which used to inhabit the islands in large numbers.
On this trip you have the possibility to visit the only 3 inhabited islands of this unique island archipelago.
At the very beginning, the boat skipper will welcome you with a home made local grappa drink or other non-alcoholic drinks you prefer.
The first island where the boat makes a stop is called Lopud and you reach it after about 1 hour of relaxing boat drive. Lopud is called also the “middle island”, famous for its sandy beaches and a unique promenade that stretches all along the same named place. There are many possibilities to spend about 3 hours here – you can have a swim, snorkel in the bay, have a drink or a large ice coffee directly by the beach or visit the well-known and most beautiful sandy beach of this area – Sunj on the other side of this island.
After enjoying a time on Lopud, the trip goes on direction to Sipan island where your skipper will take you to his own place to have a lunch – in a total typical ambience you will for sure enjoy the meal — home made bread, ham and cheese, local wine and fresh pressed juice, followed by a vegetarian meal or a chop of meat with potatoes and a salad.
Most of our guests would just like to stay here on place in this peaceful surrounding of Sipan island but there is one more island you should visit – Kolocep or locally called Kalamota.
From Sipan you drive about 45 minutes to reach this island where you will have about 1 more hour to explore the beautiful bay and probably have a swim before returning back to Dubrovnik.
