When your cruise ship docks in the Puntarenas port, you’ll be transported to Vida Aventura Nature Park in Guanacaste. Your Costa Rican adventure begins with orientation by an expert guide in the refreshingly mild climate of a mountain rainforest. After safety training on how to ride the zipline, put on your harness and prepare to soar through the canyon, riding smoothly along the treetops via seven different cables.
Next, descend back to the ground and hop on a rainforest trail astride a horse to admire the biodiverse ecology of the Costa Rican environment. While crossing pastures and mountain streams, catch sight of Miravalles and Rincon de la Vieja, two active volcanoes, and take in the incredible vistas.
Afterward, eat a typical Costa Rican lunch, enjoying dishes such as chicken and rice with fresh tropical fruit. Then, unwind with an afternoon spa, including a unique mud bath experience followed by a dip into hot springs – all amid the majestic natural scenery.
Lather the mineral mud on your skin and create a natural clay mask on your face, letting it dry in the sun as you recline by a developed hot spring.
