General recommendations :

Main square: with an area of 14,000 sqm fully paved in the center of the town, considered the largest in Colombia being undoubtedly the main attraction of the town.
Parish Church: located in the Main Square.
Casa del Cabildo: a historical relic, located on one side of the Main Plaza.
Nariño House: rest house in which Antonio Nariño died on December 13, 1823. It can be visited as a museum for it’s interesting colonial material and the struggle for independence.
House of Antonio Ricaurte: here was born the independence leader, now you can visit as "Air Force Museum".
Cloister of St. Augustine: first church of the town today is the home to the Humboldt Institute.
El Carmen Museum: located in the south-western corner of the square EL Carmen, has a large number of religious art works.
Museum by Luis Alberto Acuña: Presents oil and acrylic paintings and large murals by the master Luis Alberto Acuña, that belong to our aborigines, fabulous sculptures in particular, we find some of the books written by this great master, and as many personal items used during the life of the teacher. It is located next to the house of Vargas Vila.
Paleontological Museum: Located at the Casona Osada's Mill, a building of the last century. The Museum displays fossil invertebrates as ammonites, bivalves, gastropods, echinoderms and vertebrates such as lizards and marine fish and plant fossils.

The Tour begins in the rural region in northern Bogotá, through villages dating from pre-Columbian times as Tocancipá and Gachancipá up to the Puente de Boyacá, the sets of sculptures and other monuments remind us of the battle that defined the independence the country. Following the trip to the city of Tunja, we will drive to Villa de Leyva streets knowing their colonial layout, the main square and its surroundings, visit the monastery of Ecce Homo consisting of Cloister, Church and Cemetery, the latter two being considered Mudejar art dating from 1620. After this there will be lunch in the town and back to Bogotá.
