Leaving Northern Cali, admiring the Valle del Cauca, its agriculture and rural areas. Arrival at the Hacienda El Paraiso, where you can breathe the scent of roses, emblem of love of Ephraim and Mary, the protagonists of the immortal work of Jorge Isaacs: "The Mary". Visit the Museum of Sugar Cane located in the Hacienda Piedechinche. This architecture with eighteenth-century manner exhibiting different aspects of teaching natural history of artisanal mining and agribusiness sugar cane. Nice tour of the museum, its beautiful gardens and the different mills from the most rudimentary to the mechanical models used even by small panel industry.

The Hacienda Piedechinche house, built in the eighteenth century, is a typical example of the architecture vallecaucana the colonial era. Furniture and decorative objects for the nineteenth and early twentieth century, acquired from various collections in the country, are characteristic of an older home.

Distributed in the gardens, houses are typical of the regions of the country that have tradition sugarcane. Inside there tapiches and related household objects cane grinding and the process of making panela.
Outside, gardens seek to restore the balance between plants, insects and birds. There are trees and shrubs of various regions of Colombia and created microclimates representations of places where sugarcane planting.

More than just decorative elements, flora and fauna of these gardens are part of the Museum, serving a didactic work of recognizing the elements of our country.
