This 04-day tour visits the ancient UNESCO towns of Datong and Pingyao in China’s Shanxi Province. This intriguing area is located 01-hour by flight from Beijing in the Northern part of China.

Visit Datong, the ancient capital of the Northern Wei Dynasty and the Yungang Grottoes, considered to be a symbol of the ‘golden age’ of Buddhist cave art in China.  Visit Pingyao, a perfect example of a preserved medieval city in China, lined with paved alleyways and traditional courtyard-style homes lit with red lanterns, all surrounded by reinforced city walls.
