Here is your chance to explore Southern Carretera Austral in the Aysen region renowned for its warm hospitality and its fascinating beauty. On arrival, you will be transferred from Coyhaique to the beautiful Puerto Rio Tranquilo, a lovely village on the west bank of General Carrera Lake, the biggest lake in Chile and the second largest in South America. Enroute you will have the opportunity to view sensasional surroundings with the forests of Lenga, Coigue and Ñire, and board a boat towards Santuario de la Naturaleza Capillas de Mármol with its captivating natural caves. You will end the day in Puerto Guadal where you will spend the two next nights.

On day two you will depart for Tamango National Reserve where you will board a boat and savor the marvellous scenery of the Cochrane River and town.

Day three features a full-day tour to the outstanding Exploradores Glacier Viewpoint where you will discover the immensity of the North Patagonian Ice Field, San Valentin's Mount and the Exploradores Glacier.

Then you will continue to Coyhaique, the capital city of the Aysen Region, and discover its rich local culture and profound history.

The last day of the trip takes you back to the airport for your final departure.

Day 1: Arrival - Puerto Tranquilo - Puerto Guadal

Welcome to the Patagonia's Southern Carrera Austral for a very authentic experience! After your arrival in Balmaceda airport, we will head for Puerto Rio Tranquilo, a small village along the biggest lake in Chile Lago General Carrera, where we will enjoy a traditional Chilean lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, it's time to get your camera ready. The next stop: The famous Marble Caves. After the 1-hour boat tour, we will transfer you to Puerto Guadal to enjoy the first evening in the Aysen region.

Day 2: Puerto Guadal - Cochranr - Puerto Guadal

After breakfast, we will head out for the Tamago National Reserve where we will board a boat on the Cochrane River. We will then walk from the Reserve to Cochrane, where you -if you-re lucky- might have the chance to observe a Huemul, a Chilean deer and a national symbol. We will enjoy a traditional lunch in a local restaurant before heading back to Puerto Guadal.

Day 3: Puerto Guadal - Coyhaique

After breakfast, we will begin our day in Exploradores Valley. We will walk to the Exploradores Glacier Viewpoint where we will admire the immensity of the North Patagonian Ice Field, San Valentin's Mount and the Exploradores Glacier. Finally we will end the tour in Coyhaique, the capital city of the Aysen Region that combines modern and traditional architecture with evergreen forests.
Overnight in Coyhaique.

Day 4: Coyhaique - Departure

After breakfast, we will make sure you arrive at the airport with plenty of time to board your flight to your onward destination.

• Level of difficulty: easy to moderate, the climb to the Exploradores Valley viewpoint is short but demanding and requires good physical conditions.
  Please note on day 1 your flight should land between 9:30 AM and 10:30 AM

• Between 90 Days - 60 Days (80% refund)
• Between 60 - 30 Days (50% refund)
• Less than 30 Days no refund
