Here is your chance to explore North Carretera Austral in the Aysen region renowned for its warm hospitality and its fascinating beauty. On arrival, you will be transferred from Puerto Montt to the beautiful Hornopirén, a lovely town located on the northern shore of a wide fjord at the foot of the spectacular Volcán Hornopirén.

On day two board a ferry to Lake Yelcho, one of Chile's largest lakes, surrounded by astounding ice-capped mountains and forest. On day three, enjoy a nice hike around the great surroundings of Lake Yelcho, then depart for La Junta. Day four features an exciting rafting excursion on Palena River and you will end the day in El Sauce Hot Springs for a relaxing time in natural thermal baths.

On day five you will depart for Queulat National Park and reach through vibrant vegetation the Queulat Hanging Glacier viewpoint. Then you will continue to Coyhaique, the capital city of the Aysen Region, and discover its rich local culture and profound history. Day six features a horse ride in Patagonia's countryside through forests of Coigue and Lenga and astounding gorges to spot condors and eagles.

The last day of the trip takes you back to the airport for your final departure.

Day 1: Arrival - Puerto Montt - Hornopirén

Welcome to Patagonia's North Carretera Austral! After your arrival in El Tepual airport, we will transfer you by bus then ferry to Hornopirén, located on the northern shore of a wide fjord at the foot of the spectacular Volcán Hornopirén.
Overnight in Hornopirén.

Day 2: Hornopirén - Yelcho

After breakfast, we will head out for a full day trip to the Yelcho Lake. We will board two different ferries through Leptepu and Caleta Gonzalo. On the way, we will visit Pumalin Park, a stunning area with ancient forests. You will end our trip to Yelcho Lake, a large fjord-shaped lake with emerald green waters.
Overnight in Chaitén.

Day 3: Lago Yelcho - La Junta

After breakfast, we will hike around the Yelcho Lake to enjoy the natural scenery and observe the many bird species. After a nice lunch at the lodge, we will head for La Junta through incredible scenery of mountains and waterfalls. Along the way we will stop in Santa Lucia village and the Palena River.

Day 4: Palena River - El Sauce Hot Springs

After breakfast, we will head out for a full-day rafting tour on the Rosselot and Palena rivers. We will contemplate the beautiful canyon walls and the crystal clear water while listening to the sound of the many birds species present in the area.

We will end the tour by a short drive to El Sauce natural hot springs. Here we will have a well-deserved relaxing time in thermal baths in the midst of wild woodland.
Overnight in La Junta.

Note: If you do not wish to take part in the rafting activity, you will have the possibility to visit Puerto Raul Marín Balmaceda, a quiet seaside village, and enjoy a traditional Chilean lunch.

Day 5: La Junta - Queulat National Park - Coyhaique

After breakfast, we will begin our day in Puyuhuapi before continuing our journey to Queulat National Park. We will walk through the woods to reach the spectacular Hanging Glacier viewpoint. Finally we will end the tour in Coyhaique, the capital city of the Aysen Region that combines modern and traditional architecture with evergreen forests.
Overnight in Coyhaique.

Day 6: Coyhaique

After breakfast, we will spend the morning horse riding. The ride will begin through the fields at the foot of the Franciscan Hills, passing through forests of Coigue and Lenga and astounding gorges to spot condors and eagles. We will ride to a great view point to enjoy the sight of Coyhaique River valley, the city, its valleys and mountains. We will then head back to Coyhaique for a free afternoon.

Day 7: Coyhaique - Departure

After breakfast, we will make sure you arrive at the airport with plenty of time to board your flight to your onward destination.

• Between 90 Days - 60 Days (80% refund)
• Between 60 - 30 Days (50% refund)
• Less than 30 Days no refund
