Upon your arrival at the ranch, be greeted by your expert guide, who will select the perfect horse for you and give you riding instructions before you begin.

Once you are saddled up, head out on backcountry trails winding through hickory and oak trees with scenic vistas of conservation lands. Walk and trot at a gait that’s comfortable for you – easy even for beginners – and ask your guide for any assistance you need along the way. Upon reaching the shores of Lake Erie, continue along the beach and perhaps your horse will step into the shallow waters of the lake!

The ride follows the Trans Canada trail, the world’s longest network of multi-use trails – planned to reach more than 14,000 miles (23,000 km), from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean and north to the Arctic Ocean. These trails are ideal for horseback riding as the firm terrain holds up in all conditions.
