5-Day Rail Tour of The Canadian Rockies: Vancouver To Jasper, Banff, Lake Louise And Kamloops Aboard The 'Rocky Mountaineer'

Hop aboard the luxury Rocky Mountaineer train for an incredible 5-day, round-trip journey from Vancouver with two days aboard the Rocky Mountaineer, giving you an in-depth look at Canada's renowned beauty. Starting in British Columbia, relax on the scenic journey to Alberta, stopping in Jasper and Banff. Enjoy a glacier adventure with your guide at the Columbia Icefield and then visit pristine Lake Louise. Head to Kamloops and travel across the Continental Divide and pass Craigellachie, where the Canadian Pacific Railway was completed in 1885, before returning to Vancouver.

Meet at Vancouver's Pacific Central Station and board the VIA train. Enjoy a cozy night's sleep aboard the luxury train and travel between the Monashee and Cariboo mountain ranges before arriving in Jasper, a resort town.

The next day, travel along the Icefields Parkway, one of the most spectacular highways in North America, to the Columbia Icefield. Here, enjoy a unique adventure on the Athabasca Glacier, where your guide will point out interesting geological features and give you the chance to step out onto the ice!

Continue to Banff in Alberta for an overnight stay and then board the Rocky Mountaineer train for a 2-day journey through the Canadian Rockies. Journey across the Continental Divide and pass Craigellachie, where the Canadian Pacific Railway was completed in 1885, before arriving in Kamloops.

The next day, take the train along the Thompson River and through the Pacific Coast Mountains before returning to Vancouver.
