Full Day Angkor Adventure

Release your inner Lara Croft and join us for a spot of ‘tomb raiding’ in Angkor, one of the world’s most fascinating archaeological complexes. This full-day tour takes in the must-see ancient sights of Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, Srah Srang and Ta Prohm. Your adventure starts with a visit to Angkor Wat temple, easily the most famous and best-preserved of all temples within the Angkor complex. As you approach it, its five towers seem to rise majestically out of the moat.

We then move on to Angkor Thom, visiting Bayon – with its 54 towers decorated with more than 200 enigmatic smiling faces – Phimeanakas, Baphoun, the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King. We finish the morning with a stop at the famous South Gate, where the gods and demons line the road leading to the gate struggling in a cosmic tug-of-war.

Regain your energy with a sumptuous Khmer lunch near Srah Srang, the Royal Pool of Ablutions, originally reserved for the king and his consorts. Afterwards, choose a nap lazing in a hammock or explore the area and say hello to the locals.

Fully replenished, raid the haunting Ta Prohm temple, which featured in the Angelina Jolie movie Tomb Raider. Feel like one of the early explorers as you wander this temple, which has been left to be reclaimed by the jungle and appears to be almost collapsing under the weight of sprung trees. If there’s time, finish the day climbing one of the oldest buildings in the Angkor complex, the brick pyramid-shaped temple of Pre Rup.
