Bulgaria offers excellent conditions for alpine skiing and freeride with challenging virgin slopes, deep powder, and beautiful nature. Choosing us you will have the privilege to be the only visitor of the high mountain regions of the Pirin and Rila National Parks accompanied by our professional guides. Of course you can also enjoy the excellent ski tracks of the most popular Bulgarian resorts.
This Package offers you a freeride skiing with a special traditional touch — the perfect combination between a lot of snow and something unique and memorable.

Day 1: Welcome to Bulgaria!
Arrival in Sofia, direct transfer to Bansko (2 hours), the most popular winter resort in Bulgaria and a nice traditional town with unique local folklore and culinary traditions. Its breathtaking alpine beauty combined with the area's history has resulted in its adoption as a World Heritage site. Bansko's re-emergence as Bulgaria's newest international ski resort owes much to its good snow record and excellent ski runs, catering for skiers and snowboarders of all standards, from beginners to experts, in a season that lasts from mid December to mid April. The many cultural monuments and museums of the town add a historic ambience, which blends perfectly with the facilities of a modern ski resort and fabulous nightlife. The Old Town offers a unique opportunity to enjoy the local cuisine (all use local ingredients) and culture.

Day 2: Freeride or Alpine Skiing, you have the choice!
Our experienced guide will take you to an alpine skiing on great slopes among the century-old forests of Bansko resort or will show you some hidden wild terrains with bottomless powder. At the evening you can start with dinner in traditional restaurant (Mehana), followed by crawl through the trendiest night clubs.

Day 3: Day off
Tired of skiing? Take a day off and relax… you are invited to enjoy famous SPA resorts near Bansko with hot mineral water pools, sauna and excellent opportunities for effective treatment of many diseases. If you are skiing-addicted, the wellness program can wait until the afternoon, when you can relax your body. At the evening you can choose between dinning out and having your dinner at the guesthouse’s traditional restaurant (Mehana) just in front of the fireplace.

Day 4: Mussala peak (2925m)
After a short transfer to Borovets resort at the morning you can choose between a picturesque ascent to Mussala Peak (2925m) – the highest peak on the Balkans or skiing in the resort, offering perfect conditions for both freeride and alpine skiing. The evening will start with a steak-house and can be continued with an après-ski party.

Day 5: Maliovitsa (optional)
Depending on snow conditions we can stay in Borovets and enjoy the slopes and terrains or we can take a short journey to Maliovitsa ski center, which offers excellent conditions for one-day ski tours.

Day 6: Skiing to the Rila Monastery (UNESCO)
Depending on snow conditions, we can ski downhill to the Rila Monastery or ski in the area of Maliovitsa ski centre. From Maliovitsa hut we climb to the main ridge and after a traverse we descend to the Rila Monastery (1150m). The last section is through a pine forest and depending on the snow the guide will choose the way. If there is not enough snow there might be some walking with the skis on the back. It all depends on the snow conditions. You have to visit the Rila Monastery, the most famous UNESCO World Heritage Site in Bulgaria with a 1000-year-old history. After that we’ll get back to Sofia (2 hours).

Day 7: Sofia
You can take part in a sightseeing tour of the capital city and see the main cultural monuments such as the great Alexander Nevski Cathedral, the Roman Ruins of the ancient city, the building of the former Royal Palace, St. George Rotonda or enjoy the city on your own walking around. Then we’ll take you to the Sofia Airport for your flight back home.
