Visit to the Museum of Socialist art

The tour will begin with a short stop at the monument of the soviet army. Then you will reach the museum of socialist art using the public transport. First in the museum you will watch a short movie about the most specific features of the communist past in Bulgaria. Then you will see many busts of famous communist leaders like Georgi Dimitrov, Dimitar Blagoev, Vasil Kolarov, Todor Zhivkov, Vladimir Lenin. You will be able to admire the typical socialist realism represented by statues of unknown partisans, workers, red army – soldiers. The inner exposition consists of some eminent paintings and plastics, including such depicting Stalin, Marx and Engels. The masterpiece of the museum is the great five-pointed red star which once was at the top of the Party house in the very center of Sofia.
The tour ends with a return to the city center.
