Leave your Kasane hotel by air-conditioned coach and travel to the nearby banks of Chobe River – the twisting arm of water that snakes its way through the swamplands and savannah plains of Botswana through to the Zambezi River.
At the water’s edge, hop aboard your sightseeing boat and take a seat out on deck. Gaze out at the river to see hippos and crocodiles as well as the dazzling variety of birdlife for which the river is famous.
While the river is home to many incredible species of animals, it also attracts a wide variety of land-based creatures that use the river as a watering hole. Look out for Cape buffalo and giraffes as well as the herds of elephants for which the park is famous. Some 70,000 elephants are estimated to live within the boundaries of Chobe National Park.
After three hours cruising up and down a stretch of the Chobe River, return to the riverbank and step back onto dry land. Your experience then finishes with a hotel drop-off in Kasane.
