Spend an afternoon in Antwerp, Belgium's second largest city on Europe's largest harbor. You'll discover the city of Peter Paul Rubens and learn why Antwerp is called the world center for diamonds.

Leaving Brussels, you'll drive through the countryside to Antwerp's city center. Your first stop is Market Square with its ancient houses and Our Lady's Cathedral (entrance fee included). Amongst other treasures, the cathedral contains four of Rubens' master works: "The Elevation of the Cross", "The Descent from the Cross", "The Ascension of the Virgin" and "The Resurrection of the Virgin".

You'll then continue your walk to the baroque church Carolus Borromeus, the interior of which was entirely designed by Rubens. In 1718 lightning struck and 39 ceiling paintings by Rubens were tragically lost in the subsequent fire. However, the apse of the main altar and the Mary Chapel were spared and they'll provide you with an idea of the church's former splendor.

After some time at leisure in the city center, you'll board the coach and take a drive to Antwerp's famous harbor, the largest in Europe!
