Vienna Boys' Choir Performance at the MuTh Concert Hall

Enjoy the heavenly voices of the Vienna Boys' Choir at their new permanent home in Vienna, the MuTh concert hall, located next to the iconic Augarten Palace. One of the best-known boys' choirs in the world, these talented singers will delight you as they sing along to the melodies of Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert and Strauss with the Camerata Schulz Orchestra. With such a storied history, this choir is a true Vienna icon, and you don’t want to leave the city without catching a performance!

Founded in 1498 by Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I, the Vienna Boys’ Choir is one of the oldest and most famous choirs in the world, steeped in centuries of history. Over the centuries, the choir has collaborated with famous composers including Mozart, Salieri and Bruckner; some famous composers, such as Franz Schubert and the Haydn brothers, were actually choir members themselves!

After being picked up at your hotel or meeting your host beside the State Opera, you’ll be taken to Vienna’s new concert venue, the MuTh theater, which was built for the choir and inaugurated in December 2012. Located in an area of the Augarten where Imperial summer operas were performed in the 18th century, the MuTh stands next to Palais Augarten, the Baroque palace where the choir members learn, live and rehearse.

As you approach the MuTh, admire its unique ensemble of Baroque structures and modern architecture. Head inside to the concert hall, which can seat 400 people, and take your seat to enjoy the 2-hour concert. You'll be delighted as the talented boys sing along to the awe-inspiring melodies of Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert and Strauss, accompanied by the Camerata Schulz Orchestra.

Your evening ends at the MuTh.
