It was here in Salzburg’s beautiful Lake District, where Salzburg’s Prince Archbishops held royal hunts and Austrian Emperor Franz-Josef and his family spent their summer vacations.
On this tour, you experience the breathtaking beauty of one of Austria’s loveliest regions.
Our journey begins by leaving Salzburg to reach the scenic and historic landmarks of the countryside. We pass along Lake Fuschl with a view of Castle Fuschl on our way to the historic village of St. Wolfgang on the banks of Lake Wolfgang.
Here, there is time to see the winged Gothic altar by Michael Pacher and stop in at the famous “White Horse Inn”. From St. Wolfgang, we board the boat for a journey across the lake to St. Gilgen, the picturesque village where Mozart’s mother was born (May 1st – October 26th).
We continue our journey along the lake of Mondsee as we turn our steps towards Salzburg. The ever-changing scenery will make this an unforgettable tour.
