The Hobart Paddle - Kayak Tour

Kayaking, Local Life & Culture, History & Hertiage,
  • Enjoy the real meaning of off-road touring and immerse yourself in the Hobart waterfront.
  • Learn about Tasmania’s intimate connection to the Southern Ocean and its maritime history from a unique, local  perspective.
  • Enjoy a snack of fresh fish and chips without having to leave your kayak.

Step off the street and pick up a paddle! On this relaxed, two-hour Hobary kayak tour, you’ll experience a journey of fun, serenity, and some of the best fish and chips you’ve ever tasted (that's right - we went there!).

Your Hobart city tour meets at the beach in Sandy Bay, where your guides will equip you with all the necessary clothing and equipment and provide an introduction to the kayaking skills that you will easily master.

Gliding across the waters of the Derwent Estuary, you’ll follow Hobart’s shoreline to explore historic Battery Point, vibrant Salamanca, and the bustling docks of the city’s waterfront. Learn about Tasmania’s historic capital from your experienced guides as you weave among stately tall ships, working fishing boats, sleek yachts, and modern cruisers.

Work up an appetite in time to enjoy some of Hobart’s legendary fish and chips straight from a dockside fish punt – you won’t even have to leave your kayak!

The Hobart Paddle is the perfect way to soak up the true atmosphere of the city, and enjoy some outdoor acitivities in Hobart. Winning combo, we think!
