Your tour starts beside Sydney Harbour in the historic Rocks district. Led by your local guide, wind your way through backstreets and alleyways, and hear tales about the convicts who settled this area. Your guide will reveal how the early settlers cut through the sandstone cliffs to build homes and roads in the fledgling colony.
Drop into a local pub to enjoy a wine tasting, and hear about Australia's famous wine industry. Then follow your guide into the photogenic alleys before stopping off for a barbecue dinner in the setting of the Rocks’ sandstone lanes and arches. Listen to stories about the Rocks as you share food and drinks at this all-you-can-eat feast of barbecue-your-own steak, chicken, lamb, kebabs or fish, or order a prepared meal of roast beef, roast pork or vegetarian pie. There's also an all-you-can-eat salad bar, roast potatoes, bread and choice of desserts, with beer and wine included.
Then return to the Rocks’ tucked-away lanes to visit archaeological remains from the convict days of 200 years ago. Hear more fascinating anecdotes about convicts, settlers, publicans, bars and a military coup, and end your tour with a cocktail at a historic pub, just five minutes from Circular Quay.
