Day 1: Adelaide to Kangaroo Island (L.D)
Kangaroo Island (or ‘KI' as the locals call it) is a surprisingly diverse island with soaring cliffs, dense forest, towering sand dunes, wetlands and miles of pure white sandy beaches.
Your adventure filled tour starts bright and early this morning as you board the passenger ferry to Kangaroo Island. As you drive across the island you will discover its natural beauty, stopping at scenic points along the way. At Vivonne Bay, you will see eagles and hawks show off their hunting prowess at the bird of prey show, before continuing on to the pristine Flinders Chase National Park. See the Remarkable Rocks - unique granite rock formations have been sculptured over time by the natural elements. Take a short hike to Admirals Arch where the resident fur seal colony lives and later view the koalas in the Western River region, followed by a swim at a sheltered beach.
In the evening share your stories and swap photos over dinner around the campfire. For the more adventurous, you can sleep out under the stars in a bush swag, or in the Wool Shed in dormitory accommodation.
