Called by some as one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries in the world, South Luangwa is one of Zambia's main draws. This 9,050-sq km park is centered around the Luangwa River and is home to one of Africa's largest concentrations of wildlife.

Thanks to its inaccessible location, South Luangwa manages to combine immense density of wildlife with limited visitor numbers, and it's also one of the few national parks that allow night safaris.

Day 1: Lusaka/Lilongwe to South Luangwa

We shall depart for South Luangwa National Park Safari on this Day, we Trip we depart either in Lilongwe (Malawi) or Lusaka (Zambia)

We leave Lilongwe/Lusaka at 07h00, driving to South Luangwa though the capital of the Eastern Province of Zambia, Chipata. From friendly Chipata we allow time for Lunch (not included in Cost if departing from Lilongwe) and leave for South Luangwa afterwards

The Luangwa Valley covers 9050 km² of unspoiled woodland and river-line vegetation, home to over 40 mammal and 650 bird species.

Along the way we stop at Rockview to learn about Zambian Trees and its uses to local people, arriving at our overnight safari lodge by the mid-afternoon or before sunset.

Welcome drinks are served when we arrive and then we check in. We settle in at our chalets and spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing before dinner, served from 19h30 on-wards.

Day 2: South Luangwa

We kick off with an early morning wake up call for some tea, coffee and a light snack before we venture into the bush.

We aim to embark on our morning game drive in South Luangwa Park by 6h00, as mornings are an excellent time for game viewing.

We make our way back to the safari lodge after 2 - 3hrs.

Then there is time to relax, take a swim as you await for lunch

After Lunch you can take a nap or relax at the Bar in time for a late afternoon game drive/ night game drive starting at about 16:00hrs returning to the lodge at 20H00.

Evening Dinner.

Day 3: South Luangwa

Waking up early to the noisy calls of the birds ready for your second Morning Game Drive.

We aim to spot wildlife you were unlucky to see the previous Day and discover more of the park. Depending on game sightings, we return to the lodge around 10H00 for a scrumptious "brunch".

An afternoon rest, swim, tea then we again head out for our Afternoon/ Night drive at around 16H00 for your last safari hoping to see more amazing wildlife - returning to the lodge at 20H00. Evening Dinner.

Day 4: South Luangwa to Lusaka/Lilongwe

Today we enjoy breakfast at a leisurely pace if leaving for Lilongwe, if leaving for Lusaka we aim to start off as early as possible.

We shall stop over in Chipata for to buy our packed Lunch if leaving for Lusaka, lunch break on route. To those going to Lilongwe we shall stop over to visit Tribal Textiles.

Reach your destination and Tour ends.
