Upon arrival at Gia Luan, we start our day trip to the center of the Cat Ba National Park and the journey begins with hiking and climbing the mountain. The trails lead you to Kim Giao Forest, filled with a rare precious kind of wood that was recorded in the Red List of Vietnam because of its ability to detect toxins. Next, climb to Ngu Lam top; standing there you can enjoy the extensive panoramic view from high above of the forest of Cat Ba with hundreds of mountains undulating like pyramids. Heading on to Cat Ba town with many stops on the way giving you a chance to take photographs of local life, fishing villages, etc… En route, stop to visit the Quan Y Cave, local tour guides will lead you through the inside of the cave. This is a natural cave but during the period of resistance from 1960 to 1965 it was built into a war hospital. This cave has 3 floors with full of rooms built by the scale of war hospitals. Arrive in Cat Ba town is the time for beach enjoyment (make sure you bring along your swimsuit, sunbath gel, sunglasses). Seafood lunch is served before heading back to Ha Long.
