Rock of Ages

A rock musical set in Hollywood in the 1980s, when it was all about big chords, big dreams and big hair! This is a thrilling story of love, sex, politics, money and, above all, ambition.

Nominated for numerous awards, Rock of Ages explores the pursuit of dreams in a light hearted and thoroughly entertaining way. The story centres on the Boulevard Strip in Hollywood and the lives of various people whose paths have crossed it. We have the politician who gets involved in a controversial plan to redevelop the Strip, the German developers in charge of demolishing it all and numerous others related to the ‘Bourbon Room’ which is threatened by the plan.

To save the ‘Bourbon Room’ a money making scheme is thought up and rock star Stacee Jaxx and his band Arsenal are invited to play their last gig before they break up. This single event completely changes the lives of the main characters in the musical. Live the highs and the lows with them as love, fame and rejection play their roles in this fantastic show.

And while the story unravels you will be whisked back in time, back to the 80s when the music was loud and contagious. This was the era of classic rock and glam metal and you will not be disappointed by the variety of songs on offer. Air guitar your way through well known hits sung by greats like Bon Jovi, Twisted sister, Steve Perry, Europe, Styx and Poison. It is no wonder that this show has been so popular the world over: from Manila to Melbourne, Toronto to Tokyo.

Start or opening time: Performances on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday at 8pm, Tuesday at 7pm; Sunday at 7:30pm and Matinee performances Saturday at 2pm and Sunday at 3pm. Times are subject to change but performances will be confirmed for Evening or Matinee as booked.
Others: Tickets can be delivered to your Manhattan area hotel or collected from the office of New York Guest. For ticket delivery call New York Guest at 212-302-4019 at least 24 hours in advance. Tickets will be delivered to concierge or front desk for evening performance by 5pm and for matinee performance by 12noon. For office pick up New York Guest is open Monday to Friday 10am-6pm and Saturday from 10am-3pm. For Sundays and US Holiday tickets please ensure that you arrange in advance for ticket delivery as New York Guest is closed. Tickets are non refundable. Children under 5 years not permitted.
