Highlights of Venice Shared Gondola Ride

For many visitors a gondola ride through the canals of Venice is top of the to-do list. Unfortunately the reality and the dream don’t always match up. Set prices can be inflated, agreed routes ignored, time on the water cut and without spoken Italian the negotiation process can be a headache at best – not worth the effort at worst.

Take the stress out of your gondola experience by letting us do all the hard work. We’ll guarantee that you get the best from your trip – seeing all the major highlights as well as spending some time away from the crowds, gliding along the narrow, empty canals you dreamed of.

As with all gondola rides, our exact route will be dependent on water levels and accessibility. Rest assured, however, that the route you take will be the best for that day. We have a few set locations that we always strive to visit: the famous Fenice Theater (strain your ears for the sound of opera singers rehearsing), the Rialto bridge and markets, and the house where Mozart stayed on his visit to Carnevale.

We’ll float through the tiny canals of Sestiere San Marco, ducking under washing lines, and out into the vast expanse of the Grand Canal. Our ride will end at the Santa Maria del Giglio gondola point, a short walk from the spectacular Piazza San Marco. There, in the early evening light, you’ll enjoy a leisurely stroll through Venice’s most famous district.

Our master gondoliers are the best, hand-picked for their skill and passion for this ancient tradition, so you know you are safe in their hands. With a maximum of six people per gondola, your tour will be quiet and romantic.
