Big Easy Jazz Tour

New Orleans means jazz. The city remains a hotbed of the genre a century after it gave us the sounds that changed the world. This evening tour will take you to the very roots of the music in the heart of the French Quarter.

So put on your beads as we bring you for a stroll down historic and, yes, scandalous Bourbon Street. Your destination is a club dedicated to the preservation of jazz where you'll enjoy a complimentary cocktail to start your night.

Your garrulous guide will share stories of how Bourbon Street evolved into an international destination for partygoers, as well as how the city affectionately known as the Big easy became the birthplace of jazz, the truly American music genre.

After enjoying a set of foot-stomping music, you'll be enthralled by stories of jazz and the characters of this famous neighborhood, where some of the greatest sessions where known took place.

And the party aint over yet – Bourbon Street will share another jazz set by a local traditional jazz band, viewed from VIP seating in the lush patio of Musical Legends Park. Take photographs alongside the bronze statues of some of the celebrities that have made New Orleans a music and entertainment Mecca. The tour concludes with your choice of a cocktail or café au lait and beignets, the local pastry. Then it’s up to you to decide when to call it a night!

Meeting point is at 7pm in the Gray Line Information Desk on the ground level of the Jackson Brewery (inside Toulouse Street entrance). The tour lasts about two-and-a-half hours. Strictly limited to over-21s.
