Art Deco District Photo Tour

The trip is guided by a professional photographer with an expert knowledge of the area and this avant-garde architectural style. Between Ocean Drive and Flamingo Park, there are almost 1,000 Art Deco buildings, from landmarks such as the Colony, Starlite and Breakwater hotels to little-known gems like the Cameo Theatre and Chase Federal bank. The tour can be taken by day or at night.

The tour covers the blocks between Ocean Drive and Washington Avenue and is open to all photographers, from beginner and advanced. All cameras are welcome, from professional DSLR to mobile phones.

The night tour allows you to combine South Beach sightseeing with an intense photography class. Discover a new perspective of Ocean Drive thanks to the breathtaking use of neon lighting, which has been perfected over the decades and enhances the hotels’ lines and angles. Learn how flash and long exposure work, and also how to take great pictures without a flash. Some previous knowledge is recommended and the use of DSLR cameras is preferred in this tour. A tripod is also recommended.
