Ancient and Contemporary Native American Life and Culture

Throughout the excursion visitors will walk near the cliff dwellings and caves and among the old village ruins, dating back to 900-1580 AD; will sample a delicious Native lunch in a private home in the pueblo; will meet local artists, and they will participate in a traditional pottery making experience. Santa Clara is famous for its black and red vessels, that once were simply utilitarian. Now they command high prices as they have become collectors' pieces.

Puye Cliffs comprises two levels of cliff and cave dwellings cut into the cliff face, as well as dwellings on the mesa top.

The whole area is beautiful and rich of history that your Native guide will tell you about.
