Book your 2025 & 2026 adventures Risk free.
Laugh at door-to-door missionaries like never before with the biting, irreverent and raucously rude The Book of Mormon musical. Follow the hapless adventures of two Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints volunteers who head into the deepest Africa to proselytise… with the most hilarious consequences. With lyrics and music by the creators of South Park, you know what to expect!
Elder Kevin Price and Elder Arnold Cunningham are two earnest young Mormon missionaries dispatched to a small town in Uganda to spread the word of the Book of Mormon. But straight away they’re overwhelmed by the culture shock and end up in a dramatic showdown with a despotic warlord. Far, far away from home and in a decidedly hostile environment, the pair are forced to confront their own beliefs before they can win the day and deal with famine, poverty and disease.
The show is the brainchild of South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, with Robert Lopez who wrote songs for Scrubs. Ditties such as Spooky Mormon Hell Dream and Tomorrow Is a Latter Day have helped the soundtrack pick up a Grammy Award and make it the biggest-selling cast album in decades.
Sharply satirical, cheerfully cheeky and more than a touch naughty yet somehow sweet and captivating as well, The Book of Mormon gleefully skewers a shedload of sacred cows including organised religion, consumerism and even the musical genre itself.
