See where Guy Fawkes's gunpowder plot was foiled and the gallery where the enfant terrible of contemporary British art Damien Hirst began his climb to stardom. Visit a circus school and see offices converted from old Tube carriages.

Explore the Spitalfields conservation area with its gorgeous Georgian terraces, where artists such as Tracey Emin and Gilbert & George live. Browse the boutiques of Spitalfields market, passing the pub where several victims of Jack the Ripper had their last drink. See a former church that was once a Synagogue and is now a mosque.
