Combo: Tower of London and Hop On Hop Off Cruise Red River Rover

Sail along the Thames to the Tower of London and experience two of the best attractions in London. Take the River Red Rover hop on-hop off boat for a guided cruise and then explore this notorious fortress while hearing tales of its dark past and dazzling future. You’ll also have the chance to meet a real-life Beefeater.

Hop aboard the River Red Rover at any one of four piers. Cruise along the Thames, the artery through which London’s heart has beaten since Roman times, and enjoy a new perspective on the many landmarks on the north and south banks. See the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben with Westminster Abbey in the background. Catch a glimpse of Cleopatra’s Needle before sailing under the futuristic Millennium Bridge and catch a glimpse of St Paul’s Cathedral. Admire the imposing London Eye from below and pass by two symbols of the city old and new: Shakespeare’s Globe theatre and the Tate Modern museum. Come up close to Cutty Sark, a famous tea clipper that was one of the last great sailing boats, and the HMS Belfast, a WWII light cruiser.

Alight at Tower Pier near the emblematic Tower Bridge. Visit the Tower of London and admire the glittering Crown Jewels newly displayed in 2012, join a Beefeater on a tour and hear about the famous heads that rolled here and about the legendary ravens. The River Red Rover continues beyond the Tower to Greenwich, which has a wealth of attractions, and back.

Start/opening time: Tower opens at 9am from Tuesday to Saturday and at 10am on Sunday. The River Red Rover leaves calls at piers roughly every 35 minutes, from 10am to 6pm.
