Don’t miss this chance to see where the most exciting sporting event of London's history took place. In July and August 2012, London hosted the Olympic and Paralympic games. This Olympic bike tour is an exciting way to explore historic parts of London and see the exciting new developments where athletes from all over the world competed for gold, silver and bronze. You will be provided with a bike and helmet (helmet is optional) and escorted by your local guide on a leisurely ride along bike paths, canal paths and side roads to the main Olympic venue.
Starting from South Bank in Central London, your journey will take you past some of London’s most famous attractions along the Thames, including Tate Modern Art Gallery, Tower Bridge, Shakespeare’s Globe Theater, Borough Market and London Bridge.
Stop for lunch ( at your own expense) at Europe’s largest shopping mall, with glorious views of Olympic Park and its venues. Throughout your tour, your guide will explain the history of East London and the legacy that these games will leave for London.
On the way back you will pass Victoria Park, Regents Canal and Brick Lane before your ride ends at South Bank. In total, your tour distance is approximately 20 miles (32 kilometers) of easy to moderate cycling.
