This fascinating tour takes you to the two emirates of Sharjah and Ajman. Sharjah is the cultural metropolis within the United Arab Emirates and the third largest state. Carefully restored old areas are as impressive as the museum or the central souk, which harbours about 500 shops and is directly located at Sharjah’s lagoon. Another famous landmark is the King Faisal Mosque, which is the biggest mosque in Sharjah and was built to honour King Faisal of Saudi Arabia, who was responsible for financing the development of Sharjah before the discovery of oil. The neighbouring City of Ajman is famous for its ship building industry. The magnificent museum, housed in an ancient fort, was once the residence and seat of government of the ruler of Sharjah. This museum gives intriguing insights into lifestyles before the changes brought by the discovery of the oil. After the tour, you will be dropped back at your hotel.
