his tour covers all of the key sites in the old city area of Istanbul. The tour includes a visit to the Hippodrome which was the centre of sporting and political activities in Constantinople.
It also takes in the stunning Haghia-Sophia (Aya Sofya), the most magnificent Byzantine church and considered to be one of the finest pieces of architectural work in the world. You will be taken aback by the beauty of the frescoes inside.
We will also stop at the Blue Mosque, one of the biggest mosques in Istanbul, famous for its 6 minarets and one of the first things that spring to mind when people think of the Istanbul Skyline. Later in the tour, we will stop in at the Suleymaniye Mosque which dates back to 1558 (although subject to several restorations since then) and is an example of the work of famous Ottoman architect Sinan who blended Islamic and Byzantine architectural elements in its design.
