Turkey is a country filled with unique landscapes, and Cappadocia is no exception. Journey with us on an out of this world Cappadocia tour that travels through the regions’ breath taking landscapes, valleys, and towns.

After being picked up from your hotel, we’ll arrive in Devrent Valley after a short 10-minute drive. This is where we first meet the lunar landscape of Cappadocia, a moment you won’t be forgetting in a hurry after this Cappadocia city tour. After some explanation from our local guide about the history, culture, and geological formations of Cappadocia, we’ll set out on a 20-25 minute hike of the area. As you tour Cappadocia, you’ll continue to Pasabag Valley, which is one of the most unique places in Cappadocia because if its unbelievable rock formations. Geology nerd alert!

Next, you’ll visit the abandoned Cavusin old city with its cave mosque, pigeon houses, church, and homes. Everything manmade in Cavusin was carved into the rocks in this area, giving you the chance to see a truly fascinating way of life and ancient tradition that you might not find on other tours in Cappadocia.

Avanos, the centre of terracotta artworks since 3000 BC, will be our next stop on this Cappadocia tour. Here you’ll see traditional pottery workshops and demonstrations, and glimpse into the world of pottery as it was thousands of years ago. This is such an integral part of local culture in Cappadocia that you would be crazy not to see it during your visit, and what makes this tour so special is that you will have the opportunity to make your own clay pot if you wish, with the local craftsmen to help you polish up your skills.

Next, you’ll stop for a bite to eat in an authentic cave restaurant – which is, in our opinion, the only way to dine in Cappadocia! This restaurant is most famous for its manti (Turkish ravioli) and bulgur corbasi (wheat soup). There is also a "tandir" (tandoori oven) in the restaurant, and you can watch the ladies as they make tandoori bread as you eat.

After this unforgettable experience, you’ll visit the famous Göreme Open Air Museum to see the best examples of Byzantine art in Cappadocia. You’ll also makes stops as the Uchisar and Pigeon Valley, and Estentepe, where you’ll be able to taste some Turkish tea and enjoy the stunning views of Goreme Valley - what a way to finish this adventure!

As this tour comes to a close, you’ll be taken back to your hotel in the centre of Cappadocia, or your driver will also be happy to drop you off and local transport stations if needed.
