Ephesus;is without doubt one of the best preserved Roman Cities in the Mediterranean area.Once it become the Roman Capital of Asia Minor,the city had a population of 250.000 and is said to have been visited by St.John and the Virgin Mary,followed by St.Paul who wrote his letter to the Ephesians here.
Walking along the Marble Street to the magnificent Library of Celsius you can imagine how the life was here in Roman Times.
Visit;The ruins from the period of St.Paul,Odeon,Monumental fountains,Lebrary of Celsus,Theatre,Temple or Artemis,Gymnasiums,Church and Stadium.
After lunch,see Basilica of St.John and his tomb,Temple of Diana
Virgin Mary House;where she spent last year of her life
Temple of Artemis;was one of the Seven wonders of the ancient world.It was so big that it took 120 years to make the temple.
