Antalya city tour

One thing you should not miss while you are in Antalya is a shopping trip. This has to be one the the top shopping hotspots in the Middle East and this full-day tour is an ideal way to combine some retail therapy with sightseeing.

After being picked up from your hotel, our first stop will be a jewellery shop where you will have the opportunity to admire the finely crafted designs of local goldsmiths. Then it's on to a leather shop where there will be time to enjoy a fashion show.

Next we'll drive into Antalya itself where you'll have plenty of free time to explore this ancient town, combining quality shopping with sightseeing. Some of the best shopping is to be found in the Kaleiçi district, Antalya's old town. Here you'll find many small shops specialising in antiques, gold jewellery, leatherware and Turkish carpets.

Some sights you should not miss include the Broken Minaret, once a Roman temple then a Byzantine church and now a mosque and the Fluted Minaret exquisitely decorated with blue and white tiles and the symbol of the city.

Other shopping areas in the modern town include the boulevards of Cumhuriyet, Gulluk, Atatürk and Isklar. You will also have the opportunity for lunch in one of the old town's many traditional restaurants and cafés.

We will then meet up again for a short visit to the impressive Karpuzkaldiran waterfall. Then it's back to the resort.

This full-day excursion includes hotel drop off and pick up, transfer by air-conditioned coach and the services of an English-speaking guide throughout. Please note that lunch is not included.
