The Other City: The Chocolate Side of Zürich

Take a bite out of Zurich and discover its sweet side with this half-day tour. Explore the up-and-coming quarter of Zurich West and then go shopping for some delicious Swiss chocolates at the world-famous Lindt Chocolate Factory outlet.

Our first stop is a stroll around Zurich West. Learn how this former industrial quarter became Zurich's trendiest new area. Your guide will tell you all about the fascinating history of the great engineering companies from the 19th Century such as Escher Wyss, Sulzer and Maag. Today the area is home to some of the hottest clubs in town, interesting museums, theatres and quirky boutiques housed in old industrial warehouses. See the highest building in Switzerland – the Prime Tower.

Then we'll drive southwards past beautiful Lake Zürich as we head for the village of Kilchberg, home to the famous Lindt chocolate factory. You won't be able to resist stocking up on some of the most scrumptious Swiss Chocolates at great prices at the Lindt Chocolate Shop. Then we'll go for a stroll down by the lakeside. Here we will board a cruiser for a relaxing jaunt around Lake Zurich. Sit back and enjoy the scenery as we cruise to back to Zurich in style. The tour ends at Burkliplatz, very close to the famous Bahnhofstrasse, the Old Town and the Limmatquai.
