This panoramic private tour is the best way for you to a get a general overview of Barcelona's many sides. This great city has been home to seafarers and sportsmen, designers and revolutionaries, intellectuals and artists. On this flexible tour the starting and finishing points as well as the order in which we visit the attractions will vary according to the preferences of the group, as well as the state of the traffic and even the weather.
Some of places we will visit include Montjuic Hill with is many cultural attractions including the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya, the Fundació Miró and Mies van Rohe's German Pavilion built for the 1929 International Exhibition. We'll also visit the Olympic Ring built for the '92 Olympics with its state of the art sports facilities including the Lluis Companys Stadium and the Calatrava Communications Tower. Then enjoy the stunning panoramic views over the port and city from the Mirador de l'Alcalde.
In the area of the old port we'll visit the Monument to Columbus, the mediaeval shipyards as well as the Aquarium, the Imax cinemas and the many restaurants, nightclubs and cinemas in the modern Maremagnum complex.
At Passeig de Gracia you can admire this classy boulevard's luxurious shops and boutiques with all top international brands. This area is also home to several impressive buildings in the modernista style including two of visionary architect Antoni Gaudi's greatest creations, La Pedrera and Casa Batlló.
The nearby Sagrada Familia Basilica is Gaudi's great unfinished masterpiece. He dedicated most of his life to this mazing building, synthesis of hos overall conception of architecture. Your guide will provide a fascinating commentary on the richness of detail and symbolism in this magnificent building. Please note that you will need a reservation in order to enter the inside of the building in groups of more than 9 people (entrance fee not included).
