HISTORY

The History of Music is a show-stopping live musical performance suitable for all the family. 26 artistes from 15 countries pay tribute to the best composers, performers and bands in the history of music. From Bach to Abba, Strauss to Adele, from the classics to r'n'b and garage, sit back and enjoy the greatest music ever played live by 7 musicians and singers accompanied by 11 dancers and acrobats in the incomparable setting of the Magma Centre in Tenerife Sur.

The show is divided into three parts. In the first we'll go on a musical journey from Bach to the Beatles with music by Beethoven, Mozart, Strauss, and other classical composers. The second part is dedicated to Portuguese Fados and the music of the sixties, seventies and eighties with tunes by Sinatra, Elvis, James Brown, the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Abba, Michael Jackson, U2 and Madonna. The highpoint of the show is the Fall of the Berlin Wall set to the apotheosis music of Pink Floyd and the finale is dedicated to current hits by such artistes as Beyonce, Coldplay and Adele.

The performance takes place in the magnificent Magma centre with its 160m stage and state of the art sound system. A great night out for all the family!

Start or opening time: Doors open at 8.15 pm and the show starts at 9.00pm.
