Treat yourself to the most romantic evening imaginable with a sunset tour of the Alhambra followed by a delicious dinner at a top restaurant at the walls of the palace. You will not only see this majestic complex in a different but you will appreciate just why the last Sultan of Granada wept when he saw the Alhambra for the last time. Your evening begins with a visit to the Palace of Charles V, which has a classical-inspired colonnaded circular central patio. Then you’ll enjoy the magical experience of a tour of the Generalife as the sun sets over Granada. Stroll through these lush gardens and feel like the Muslim princes of yesteryear as you relax to the soothing sounds of the waters. Then, from the Alcazaba ramparts, be dazzled by the kaleidoscope of colours as the sun slowly moves across this beautiful city.

We’ll take a break for dinner at a delightful restaurant by the walls of the Alhambra. Jardines Alberto is located a traditional whitewashed home with a patio bedecked in plants. Feast on either a tapas or à la carte menu to regain energy for the return to the Alhabra to explore the palaces.

As darkness envelops Granada, the Nasrid palaces light up. The intricate Arabesque plasterwork, resplendent tiles and golden honeycomb ceilings will glisten under the spotlights. Marvel at the elaborate beauty of the Court of the Myrtles and the Hall of the Ambassadors, and the architectural and hydraulic engineering gem that is the Court of Lions, which Islamic poets said was the physical realisation of paradise.

Pack pick-up: This is Granada kiosk at Plaza Nueva from 9.30am to 2.30pm every day and from 4pm to 8pm Monday to Saturday and 4pm to 7pm on Sunday. Tour information: Arrive before 6pm. Break for dinner at 8pm, with palace tour at 10pm.
