Day 1: Arrive at Ljubljana
Arrival at Ljubljana Airport or one of the nearby airports around Slovenia. Transfer to your hotel in Ljubljana and check-in. The rest of the day guided sightseeing of Ljubljana, the Slovenia capital. The highlights include the beautiful old town, Cathedral, Dragon Bridge, Castle and the Three Bridges Square. In the evening meet with your tour leader and fellow travellers.

Day 2: Ljubljana – Ptuj – Maribor – Ljubljana
After breakfast we head to Northeast Slovenia. First we stop in Ptuj, the oldest town in Slovenia, well-known for its rich culture, architecture, tasty food and extraordinary wine. Sightseeing of Ptuj, leisure and continue the trip to Maribor, the capital of the Styria region and second largest Slovenian city. A walking tour of the city includes Castle Square, the Synagogue, the Jewish Tower, the Old Wine House, with the world oldest grape vine, the Plague Column, Town Hall, Cathedral,… and a visit to one of the biggest wine cellars in Central Europe, which lies under the city and has a capacity of more than 5 million litres of wine. After the visit and tasting of their best wines, we return to Ljubljana. Overnight.
Day 3: Ljubljana – Vintgar – Bled – Lake Bohinj – Kranjska gora
After breakfast we drive through the picturesque landscape to the heart of the Slovenian Alpine region. The first stop is the Vintgar Gorge, one of the most popular natural features in Slovenia. The path through the Vintgar Gorge leads us over the wooden bridges, through galleries along the rushing river Radovna through the picturesque gorge, 1600m long and more than 100 m deep. Gorge ends with 26-metre Šum waterfall.
Later we depart to Bled, which is often mentioned as the »Pearf the Alpine region«. Famous for the emerald-green lake, romantic church on the island in the middle of the lake and a medieval castle from the 11th century perched on a cliff above the lake. Leisure in Bled and a trip to the island by the traditional lake boat called “Pletna”. The journey will continue to Lake Bohinj, the largest glacier lake in Slovenia. We will have time to relax at the side of the peaceful lake and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the mountains rising high above the lake. On the way from Lake Bohinj to Kranjska Gora we drive through picturesque villages, also through the village of Studor which is famous for its group of wooden hayracks just below the village. The double structure of these hayracks is particular to the area and the Studor group of hayracks has been declared an architectural monument. Day 4: Kranjska Gora – Soča Valley – Kobarid – Tolmin – Portorož
Kranjska Gora every winter hosts Alpine Skiing World Cup Series, also known as the »Vitranc Cup«. The world famous ski jumping hill Planica is located in the nearby Tamar valley. Numerous world record breaking jumps happened here. Drive over the Predel Pass and continue down by the serpentine mountain road which offers some breathtaking views of surrounding mountain peaks. Our first stop is Kluže Fortress, which ranks among the most imposing fortifications in Slovenia, particulary because of its picturesque position above the deep gorge of the Koritnica River. We enter Soča Valley, where several natural sights are included in the municipality, such as the source of the River Soča, 106m high Boka waterfall and picturesque Trenta Valley. We stop in nearby town Kobarid, known for the famous WWI Battle of Caporetto, also documented by writer Ernest Hemingway in his novel »A Farewell to Arms«. We visit city museum, dedicated to the battle. Our next stop along the Emerald river Soča will be the impressive Solkan Bridge. A 220-m long stone bridge with the longest stone arch in the world. Then we continue to the Miramare Castle near Trieste, which is surrounded by a flourishing park full of precious botanic species, and which has a charming panoramic view, given its location on a cliff high above the sea. Commissioned by the Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian of Habsburg, the castle is an example of a luxurious aristocratic residence which has preserved its original furnishings. After the sightseeing of Miramare Castle we continue along the coast to Portorož, called also the »Slovenian Cote`d Azur«.

Day 5: Portorož – Piran – Lipica – Škocjan Caves – Opatija
After breakfast we explore the coastal town of Piran, which resembles a large open-air museum, with mediaeval architecture and a rich cultural heritage. Stroll along narrow medieval streets you will fall in love with the city and its rich cultural heritage. We continue to the Lipica Stud Farm, home of the Lipizzaner horse. Nowadays, it is one of the most beautiful cultural and historical monuments of Slovenia, its rich history reaching back to the year 1580, when Habsburg Archduke Carl founded it.
Near Lipica we visit also Škocjan Caves, which rank among the most important caves in the world, representing a must see underground phenomena. They are also on UNESCO World Heritage List. After a walking guided tour we drive to Adriatic coast of Croatia to Opatija. Situated below Učka mountain, Opatija is a great choice for a vacation in both summer and winter seasons. Beautiful nature, climate, parks, hotels & old Austrian villas, seaside promenades and beaches have attracted tourists from Europe and all over the world for more than 160 years. Day 6: Opatija – Plitvice – Zadar
After breakfast we drive to the National Park of Plitvice, one of the most beautiful national parks in Central Europe, where you will stop to admire the waterfalls and lakes of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. A guided visit to National Park which, stretches between beech forests and occupies an area of 192km². Sixteen lakes in beautiful blue and green pastel colours, in which the dense forests are mirrored, are connected with waterfalls which flow one into another and create a unique and unrepeatable experience. In the afternoon we continue the trip by passing the Velebit Mountains to the costal city of Zadar. A city of exceptional 3,000-year old history and extremely valuable cultural heritage, will always offer something new and original. Combining the beauties of the past and preferences of modern-day tourism, it offers numerous tourist attractions. Overnight in Zadar.
Day 7: Zadar – Trogir – Split
In the morning after breakfast we leave Zadar and continue towards Trogir. On arrival we will enjoy a guided tour. Trogir is a museum-town in the very meaning of the word. Trogir's sights are clustered together conveniently, making it an easy walk and easy to understand why it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit includes the Renaissance City Gate, the magnificent Cathedral of St. Lovro, the Court House, romantic alleys, City Walls,… After sightseeing and leisure we continue to Split, capital of Dalmatia region. You start an in-depth sightseeing tour of this gracious city by the Adriatic Coast. Visit the Roman Palace of Diocletian, the Cathedral of St. Domnius, the Temple of Jupiter, the Papalic Palace, the Piazza, the Town Hall City Clock,… then at leisure to explore the maze of streets in the old town. Day 8: Split – Vrelo Bune – Mostar — Dubrovnik
This morning your day starts with a drive towards Bosnia and Hercegovina. Crossing the border we continue until we reach Vrelo Bune, a strong karstic spring, emerging from a huge karstic cavern beneath a high vertical cliff. It is one of the largest and most beautiful springs in Europe, producing approx. 43 m3/sec of extremely cold and clean water. A Dervish Monastery rests nestled among the cliffs over the River Buna here, and a serene aura pervades the area.
From Vrelo Bune there is a short drive to Mostar, world famous for its Old Town and bridge, now a symbol of reconciliation, cooperation, and the co-existence of diverse cultural, religious, and ethnic communities. On arrival a sightseeing tour with a local expert guide shows you the ancient oriental old town, with its forts, towers,and gates, the Old Bridge (reconstructed), Old Bazaar, Koski Mehmed Paša Mosque (1618-1619), Kriva Čuprija, Kujunđiluk Street — Old Coppersmiths` Street, … After some free time when you’ll have an opportunity to taste some local specialties, or to discover local handcrafts on your own, you’ll continue this day trip to Dubrovnik.

Day 9: Dubrovnik
Did you know that Dubrovnik was one of the most prosperous and advanced Maritime Republics of all time?
Early in the morning just after breakfast you will start by exploring one of the marvels of the Adriatic. After the famous panoramic spot overlooking the Old Town of Dubrovnik and it's surroundings, your driver will take you to the entrance of the Old Town. Here you will start a sightseeing tour down the main street Stradun (Placa). On this historic walk, you will travel through the heart of the old town and witness the impressive economic, social, and cultural achievements of Dubrovnik over the centuries. Enjoy wonderful views, extraordinary tales and stories of some of the most famous landmarks of Dubrovnik such as the Rector's Palace, Franciscan Monastery, Sponza Palace, the Dubrovnik Cathedral and many others. In the Old Port, the legends of the famous Quarantine and the nearby fortresses of St. Luke and St. John will be explained. Ships from Dubrovnik were known throughout the Mediterranean: galleons and karakas, all of which were built and loaded in the legendary Arsenal, today the popular City Café, will be seen along the way. You will also be given some leisure time to explore charming mediaeval back streets, the world famous City Walls of Dubrovnik, one of the most harmonious and best preserved municipal walls on the Mediterranean or you can just relax at one of the many cozy outdoor cafes. Day 10: Dubrovnik
Transfer to airport and end of service.
