This tour will take you on a journey, where you will enjoy the memorable scenery and stunning panoramic views of majestic mountains, experience tradition filled quaint towns throughout the countryside where you will meet friendly and kind local people known for their hospitality. You will also visit an open-air museum of historic Slovak village, see the architecture and take a look inside of a typical traditional log house and learn and imagine the everyday life of our ancestors. You hike in the famous Janosik Gorge, where by the legend a famous slovak hero Juraj Janosik was hiding and robbing nobles and gave the loot to the poor.

Day 1 - Arrive at Bratislava or Vienna airport

And then transfer to your hotel in the heart of the city, you have some free time to enjoy your first day in Slovakia. Overnight in Bratislava

Day 2 - Tour of Bratislava

In the famous old-timer train “Presporacik”, in the afternoon transfer to Sulov, where we will take a tour of Sulov Rocks, the most interesting part of a much larger mountain range called Strážovské vrchy Overnight stay in Gaderska valley.

Day 3 - A full day of hiking, cycling or rock climbing (optional) in Gader valley

In the Greater Fatra mountain range with highlights such as Blatnica castle hidden in the forest. After a busy day of activities, its time to relax at the spa & aquapark in Turcianske Teplice. Overnight stay in Gaderska valley.

Day 4 - Cycling tour along the Vah river and stopping for a tour of Strecno castle ruins

Lunch break - a traditional barbecue lunch followed by a tradi¬tional timber boat ride on the Vah river, then we cycle back to Zilina. Overnight stay in Zazriva.

Day 5 - Hiking tour of Janosikove diery

Located in the natural protected area of Rozsutec. The tour starts in Terchova, continuing through Dolne diery (Lower gorge) and Horne diery (The Upper gorge) under Rozsutec mountain and finishes in Stefanova. After a hard but exciting day, enjoy the spa and jacuzzi in your hotel. Overnight stay in Zazriva.

Day 6 - Orava Village

An open air museum of folk architecture exhibits, intact rural houses brought from all around the region of Orava. In the afternoon - the famous Orava castle. Enjoy your last evening in Zazriva and learn how to make the original and tasty cheese “Zazrivsky korbacik” traditional craft way with an instructor. Overnight stay in Zazriva.

Day 7 - Demanovska Ice Cave

First mentioned in 1299 and still remains one of oldest known caves in Europe. Later in the afternoon, transfer to the High Tatras, where we will take a short walk around Strbske pleso. Overnight stay in High Tatras.

Day 8 - Transfer to Bratislava

Where you will have free time to do some shopping & to spend your last few minutes in the beautiful city centre of Bratislava until your departure and transfer to the airport.
