Trip to Zerkovka

The mountain shape reminds the steepled church and by the beauty of the nature a pine trip crowns the top as an orthodox cross. The name Zerkovka comes from Zerkov – Russian word for a church. By the foot of the mountain there is picturesque pound where it is possible to swim.
The trip:
UAZ car brings the group to the village Kaytanak in the picturesque Kaytanak prairie 30 km up the Kaytanak river. At the suspension bridge, the group is inside of the relict cedar wood populated by birds of passage.
Then the road leads us to the lost and remote village out of ten yards – Saksabay. This is at the end of this village where we can find this romantic pound and Zerkovka Mountain.
The quietest tourists walk along the river and have rest by the stone niche at the river but the most restless tourists climb on the top. Later even the quiet ones want to see all the beauty and everybody climbs on the top. And on the top – just wow! Everything is spread out before you.
Worked up an appetite and everybody gets very enthusiastic about lunch! By the fire at the river is the right place to sing, chat about everything and nothing or just stay in silence.
On the other side of Zerkovka our curious ones will find the dried out creek, made like Spanish plazas: with coloured, polished by the water pebbles, stones to stones. The hand reaches automatically to try the stone skipping. This is where our guide comes, even this he can teach you.
