This suburban villa, named after its first owner, Paul, the son of Catherine II, emerged three kilometers away from Tsarskoye Selo (now Pushkin) among the hunting grounds on banks of river Slavyanka.
Here a classical integrity and a logical clarity of palace and park ensemble image are combined with cosiness of Russian manor. The time of Pavlovsk construction was heyday of Russian classicism. Pavlovsk landscapes embodied the best features of European park landscape design, there worked the most prominent architects of time: Ch.Cameron, V. Brenna, G. Quarenghi, A. Voronihin, C. Rossi, and the famous Russian sculptors I. Prokofiev and I. Martos.
During our tour you will be introduced to Pavlovsk city, visit Pavlovsk Palace and walk through wonderful and unique parkwith area of 600 hectares.
