Lisbon Highlights Private Day-Tour

● Experience this tour through the eyes of an expert/official Portuguese guide that goes with you inside the monuments and museums. Unlike many other suplliers, we don´t simply drive our visitors to the monuments and leave them outside. For that reason our tours have a  high cost–benefit ratio.

This tour is a private tour of the city with an official private travel guide/driver. No other customers will join the tour.

The program below is only a suggestion. All tours can be changed according to individual tastes and interests.

Program:

The tour starts with a panoramic drive through Lisbon's quaint districts to 25 de Abril Bridge, where you can enjoy the magnificent views of Lisbon and Cristo-Rei Monument, the largest concrete statue in Europe at 28.5 m. Next you continue to the Cristo-Rei Statue. Take the opportunity to ascend to the top of the statue by elevator. Take in the breathtaking views of the city and the river.

After this you can visit the gorgeous Hieronymites Monastery*in Belém district. This monastery is among to the most important achievements of the Manueline style (Portuguese late-Gothic). One of the most well-known landmarks of Lisbon is next, the Belém Tower as well as Padrão dos Descobrimentos -Monument to the Discoveries.

The tour leads you onward to the lookout point São Pedro de Alcântara, where you can enjoy unique views of the city and River Tejo. A further lookout point you can visit is Santa Luzia, from where you can take in magnificent views of Alfama, Lisbon's oldest district.

To conclude the tour, you will be driven to the site of Expo '98 (Park of the Nations), where you can visit the Oceanarium.

Please bring your passport or ID along. Old-age pensioners over 65 receive a reduction on entry fees to museums and monuments.

*The St. Jerome(Jerónimos) Monastery is closed on Monday.
