Communist Regular Tour with Snack

Time is a great healer and the as the sore of communism in Poland begins to cure, a sense of nostalgia for some things has begun to creep in. This tour down memory lane, which is available in either regular or private formats, takes you to some of the locations most identified with the 45-year-long totalitarian nightmare that was the People’s Republic of Poland.

Get into the mood straight away when you board a Nysa 522, a compact and functional minivan that has attained cult status since the fall of the Iron Curtain. Head to the most famous places in Warsaw just like it was 1984. Learn about what socialism meant in Warsaw as you are driven along the avenue where military and workers’ parades were held. You’ll see all the most important buildings in the socialist realism style dating back to the times of the Polish United Workers’ Party before heading to an apartment with the typical Communist-era interior décor. The tour would not be complete without the screening of old propaganda documentary films.

Start or opening time: Private tour daily at 10am. Regular tour daily at midday and 4pm.
