Maras & Moray Tour

Enjoy amazing views, picturesque towns and culture in the outskirts of Cuzco city on this half day tour.

Our itinerary takes us first to the terraces of Moray, an impressive agricultural center. These impressive ruins display concentric terraces carved into a bowl shape creating distinct microclimates; the Incas used them as a kind of laboratory to study the adaptation of plants to new ecosystems. 

We head then to the colonial town of Maras, known for its nearby salt evaporation ponds. After a quick visit to the village of Maras we visit the salt mines, made up of around 3000 small wells formed by a natural underground salt-stream. The trip ends walking down to the town of Urubamba where a bus will take us back to the city of Cuzco.
