Enjoy an excursion into Morocco’s Sahara Desert from Marrakech on a 2-day tour that takes you to Berber villages and historic kasbahs. Marvel at the desert sunset and the starry night sky over your luxury tent site. Enjoy a traditional tagine dinner accompanied by Berber music.

Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Agdz - Zagora

After leaving Marrakech you’ll cross the Tichka pass in the High Atlas Mountains. Stop to visit an argon oil cooperative before continuing to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou.

After lunch at a local restaurant, you’ll pass by the Anti Atlas mountains, the Berber village of Agdz, and the amazing Draa Valley with its valleys of palm trees. Arrive early evening in Zagora to prepare for departure by camel into the desert to see the sunset from the top of the dunes.

Enjoy a traditional tagine dinner, sip delicious mint tea, and listen to traditional Berber music while watching the stars above the amazing Sahara desert. Spend the night in a traditional nomad tent.

Day 2: Zagora -Tamnougalt Kasbah - Marrakech

Wake up early to see the spectacle of the sunrise over the dunes of the Sahara before heading back to the Zagora hotel for breakfast and a shower.

Return via the Draa Valley to Ouarzazate to visit the kasbah there, and have lunch at a local restaurant before returning to Marrakech in the late afternoon.
