Program:
Day 1 — Chisinau . Meeting at the airport. Transferring and putting up at the hotel. Excursion + guide – the panoramic tour of Chisinau. Returning to the hotel.
Day 2 — Milestii-Mici - Excursion plus lunch and wine tasting. A wine gallery registered in the “Guinness Book” — Over 50 km of the underground galleries are transformed into wine warehouses in the Milestii Mici Village (almost 20 km south Chisinau). The constant annual temperature of +12… +14 C and the high moisture level offers favourable conditions to store the high quality wine. The wine collection consists of over 2 million bottles. The excursion is followed by a lunch with national food and wine tasting in the underground gallery.
Day 3 -Excursion+guide – the medieval town «Orheiul Vechi» and Curchi Monastery, Raut river panorama. A halt at the agrotourist pension “Casa din lunca”. Returning to hotel.
The ancient city Old Orhei — a unique natural and historical complex in the open air. It organically combines the natural landscape and vestiges of ancient civilizations. As a result of enormous archeological excavations here there were discovered the cultural layers of different epochs such as — the Paleolithic, Eneolithic, and Iron Age.
The breathtaking visit to the cradle of civilization – Orheiul Vechi is followed by a stay at the rural pension “Casa din Lunca” situated in the Trebujeni village. We stop at a typical Moldavian family so as to learn at least a tiny part of the vast whole of Moldavian customs and traditions. We will definitely not leave the place, until we taste the remarkable Moldavian chicken soup called “zeama with taitei”, as well as another traditional dish “sarmale in foi de vita de vie” and vegetables collected directly from the garden. You will also have the pension’s special dish – fresh warm pies “placinte” served along with the delicious home-made red wine just taken out of the barrel. Excursion includes a meal at peasant house with traditional moldavian food and home made wine.
Day 4 — Odessa. Transferring from Chisinau to Odessa and putting up at the hotel. Excursion + guide – the panoramic tour. Returning to the hotel. During the city tour you will get acquainted with Odessa, the regional center of Ukraine with a population more than one million people. The city is situated on a height and is washed by the waters of the Black Sea from the south and the west. The longest season of the year in Odessa is summer – it lasts for 145 days.
Many pages of the history of Odessa have found their reflection in arts and literature.
During our tour you will get to know a lot about the city’s history, its modern face, will see one of the most beautiful buildings in the world – Opera and Ballet house, built by the project of the Viennese architects F. Felner and G. Helmer, will walk along the famous Primorsky Boulevard and Potemkin’ stairs, will visit city museums.Free evening for promenade.
Day 5 — Odessa — free morning for promenade. After the lunch we will explore the famous Odessa Catacombs — a network of underground tunnels and labyrinths, located near Odessa. According to recent data, the length of Odessa catacombs is more than 2500 km. During World War II Odessa catacombs, as well as Adzhimushkayskie quarries, were the shelter for the Soviet partisans, who fought against the Nazi invaders and caused considerable damage to the German army. Odessa Catacombs were also the shelter for the detachment of V.A. Molodtsov, whose feat was described in the work of Katayev “Waves of the Black Sea”. Transferring from Odessa to Chisinau and putting up at the hotel.
Day 6. Free day (shopping, souvenirs). Transfer from the hotel to the airport.
