Your exclusive Teotihuacan tour begins with pickup at your Mexico City hotel in either the morning or around midday, depending on whether you’ve chosen the lunch or dinner option. Travel by minivan to the Teotihuacan Pyramids site, approximately 30 miles (50 km) and 1.5 hours northeast of Mexico City.
When you arrive, your time at the complex starts with a 3-hour private tour, during which you’ll see the site’s astounding World Heritage-listed structures and learn about their history from your expert guide. Hear about the ancient city’s pre-Columbian origins and how it got its nickname, the City of the Gods.
Stare in wonder at features like the Butterflies Temple, the Avenue of the Dead and the Temple of Quetzalcoatl, and climb the Pyramid of the Sun and Pyramid of the Moon, if you wish.
After your tour, head to the open-air, covered dining platform and strap yourself securely into your seat, one of 19 positioned around a large table, in the middle of which stand your chef and server. Attached to a crane, the platform will begin lifting off the ground, taking you to a height of 150 feet!
While you wait for your first course to be served, enjoy the once-in-a-lifetime views of the Teotihuacan Pyramids stretched before you. The ruins are one of the most-visited archaeological sites in Mexico, but from your position in the sky, you have the luxury of admiring it without the crowds.
After an hour in the air, you’ll be lowered back to the ground and driven by private vehicle back to your hotel in Mexico City — an approximate 2-hour ride, depending on traffic conditions.
