Medieval And Modern Vilnius

Vilnius is a town that was founded by the Grand Duke Gediminas in the 14-th century. Today this old capital of Lithuania is famous as the biggest barroque style city of the Eastern Europe and one of the greenest capitals of the world. Vilnius is attractive any time of the year. It is decorated with more tha 60 temples of different confessions, narrow medieval streets of the ancient town, high hills and contrasting architecture, that turns Vilnius into the town-museum.
